Any Experience on a Scottish Canal Cruise?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a river/canal cruise in Scotland? We were looking at the Caledonian Discovery barges (Ros Crana and Fingal), but then found a picture of the cabin, which put us off, especially since they want £865 for a week (approximately $1,340).

I have been eyeing this off for ages, but never found this picture. I have had more expensive cruises,l much more, with Noble Caledonia, but the Calendonian Canal is on my bucket list.

This Ikea looking cabin doesn't look good though. I'll be interested to see if anyone has done this trip :)

Dear Smokey,

My late wife and I took a Caledonian Canal cruise on a barge called the Scottish Highlander. It holds 8 passengers, and it was great!

The only problem is that is is fairly expensive. $3600 to $4500 per person. BUT the food was great, and we were taken to all the sites in a minibus.

If you send me your e-mail address I will send you our trip story and pictures.
