cruising_diva Posted April 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2014 My husband, brother-in-law and I will be sharing a balcony on the Dream in October. If I wanted to purchase Cruise Cash for ONE person in the room, can I do this? Or is it like OBC that just applies to the stateroom? Thanks for the help! tandemcruzr Posted April 10, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2014 Cruise Cash is a 'use it or lose it.'
KPfromCT Posted April 10, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 10, 2014 I haven't heard great things about Cruise Cash. Just remember, as stated above, if you don't use it, you lose it.
gbphatcat Posted April 10, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 10, 2014 about the üse it or lose it "thing if anyone has been on at least onecruise they have an idea of about hoow much they will spend on board during their cruise duration , so i see nothing wrong with getting some cruise cash ahead of time if you know that you will spend what you are purchasing on board. am sure most everybody plans their expenses pretty closely and knows about how much they are going to spend doubt many people will lose it most likely they will spend it :)
cruising_diva Posted April 10, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted April 10, 2014 Thanks everyone for the help! I appreciate it. Thinking about using the Cruise Cash as an alternative to linking our debit card to Sail and Sign card (we don't have credit cards). Also, it is a great way to save up "fun money" for the trip over time, so that a large sum at the time of the vacation doesn't hurt so much, financially. Thanks again everyone! Much appreciated! wb3690 Posted April 10, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 10, 2014 We used cruise cash on our last trip. i know it's not super popular but we knew we were purchasing cheers so we put 500.00 in cash in each room. We spent it for sure. We also ate at the Steakhouse. I wouldn't put a ton of money in a room, but if you know what you are going to spend go for it! Our bill wasn't so bad at the end. Cjh1975 Posted April 10, 2014 #9 Share Posted April 10, 2014 Can you use th cruis cash to cover the tips?
cruising_diva Posted April 10, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted April 10, 2014 If you don't pre-pay tips, I don't see why you couldn't use it for tips. May want to verify by calling Carnival though. I don't know for sure. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

luvmysox1 Posted April 10, 2014 #12 Share Posted April 10, 2014 Yes cruise cash can be used for tip or any expenses you might have. You can also cash it out in the casino. Sent from my KFTHWI using Forums mobile app

quiltsnh Posted April 17, 2014 #14 Share Posted April 17, 2014 I have confirmation numbers for my cruise cash (1 for each person in my cabin) Where does it show up on your reservation?
WLHyatt Posted April 17, 2014 #15 Share Posted April 17, 2014 It does not show up in your documentation. Make sure you keep copies of those confirmation numbers, in case the amount you are expecting is not in your account when you board.
