Wedding Photo Payment Question

Recommended Posts

You put the cost of the photos on your Sign and Sail card. This is connected to your credit card, which you then pay off as the bills come to your house. Make sure you have a high enough limit/space available on your credit card to buy the photos you want. When you see them you will want more than you think!! The coffee table book is WONDERFUL, but expensive.

Yeah, that is definitely good to know. We plan to put credit card down as the hold for our S&S card. But really don't want to have the photos use up that much of our available balance and would prefer to pay for it with our debit card. We set up a separate checking account for wedding fund. We would rather have any holds go to our credit card, so it doesn't hold up our cash, but want any actual expenses to come directly from our account (except out of country expenses at ports, for safety reasons). So, it's good to know that we have option to pay with a different card directly.

Although, both my parents and FI's parents have started asking about photo costs or other wedding expenses we will have when we get there that they may be able to help out with, so it may end up being a moot point anyway. But, I don't count on any money until it's in my hand.

The book is REALLY nice. We got it included with the package since we didn't want any canvas or anything. It is a nice book, I want to say probably 8 by 8 and it feels leather bound. All of the pictures are printed on silk paper. My father in law did some research and it would cost like $60 to get each picture printed at Walgreens! They also put pictures in the book that are not options to get in 5 by 7, 8 by 10, or digitally. I think it would be very difficult to get pictures of it that would do it justice but when you sit down to go over photos, they will show you. If you are willing to get their top tier package but don't want everything that the package comes with (i.e. canvas) you might be able to work a deal out with them where they will swap some things out for the photo book. If you guys want me to take a few pictures of mine, I can but like I said, I don't think it would do it any justice.

Also, I want to point out that I don't think the book is worth $1200-1800 BUT if you are able to work a deal then definitely get it!

Hey y'all! Just got back from our wedding! It was AWESOME! A review to come soon. So for the pics we budgeted $750 and ended up spending $2000! We ended up getting the Wedding Photographer Manager because there were so many weddings that day. So our pics came out FABULOUS! I asked him not to make the book but he said he would anyway because he loves to do them. Well when I saw the book it was LOVE at first sight! OMG! It was BEAUTIFUL! Well worth the money. We spent $1400 on the book and because we bought the whole package he ended up knocking around $600 off the package. It would have cost more but he gave us a deal. I will post pics later of the book in my review. But if the quality of the pictures the photographer takes is good it is a very hard thing to pass up.

This is a preview of some of the pictures in the book. He also made the book like a story(not just pictures) like the rings, then the bride, the groom, we met, fell in love, lived happily ever after (kind of thing)...
