Blue Agave tequila tour in Mazatlan

Has anybody done the Blue Agave tequila tour in Mazatlan?

Wondering what people thought of it.

We will have our three kids with us (ages 7, 8, and 10), but it sounds like it's more of a tour of the little towns with lunch and kids are welcome (?)

Tequila, like Champaign, is a closely regulated State beverage . “Real tequila”, according to the Mexican government, is only made in Jalisco State. There are a lot of tequila-like beverages that have some “blue Agave” spirit in them and they are typically made for sale/export outside Mexico. Back to your question . . . This tour in Mazatlan should be taken for its educational and entertainment value. As you already surmise, this will be an opportunity to see the countryside, shop (spend tourist dollars) and learn how tequila would be made if the distillery was located in Jalisco state and the blue agave spirit wasn’t blended with other stuff.

As I’m sure you know, cruise ships haven’t been to Mazatlan for a number of years and feedback on this specific tour make be lacking.
