Cove Balcony on the Dream vs. Reg balcony

Been on many cruises but never tried the Cove Balcony. For you that have did both please tell us what you think. The GOOD ,BAD,& UGLY.....Thanks

I've been in coves on the Magic and regular balconies on the breeze. I like the cove for proximity to the water and shade from the lifeboats. I like the balcony on the breeze but the room felt smaller than the cove did.

We are booked for a cove in October, and I cannot wait. It will be our first balcony, so I cant offer much advice. However, why we booked a cove is because of its proximity to the water.

Had a cove on the 11/07/2015 Breeze. Close to the water. Lots of space in the balcony. Only issue was the balcony deck was always wet. Therefore, needed to place a towel inside of the balcony door to dry feet off.

My husband and I stayed in a cove balcony on the Dream last fall and we loved it! It was amazing being that close to the water. Actually being able to hear the ocean. And every morning I would go out right at sunrise and could see the flying fish glisten in the sun. It was awesome. I will always book a cove on any ship that has them. I already have one booked for the Magic next year!

I had a regular balcony on the dream and it was amazing. On the 8th floor where rooms were below and above me. Close enough to see the water well but high enough to stay dry. Will never go to an inside room look the open feeling
