Snorkling Cozumel vs Grand Cayman

My wife and I have only snorkeled once. If you had to choose a snorkling trip in either Cozumel or Grand Cayman which place, operator and why. Last yr we snorkled on the Woodwind out of Bonaire and it was amazing. Hoping to make a good choice. Thanks in advance.

Last Nov we tried Snorkling in Cozumel but the water was to murky from a recent storm. Next day we were in Grand Cayman snorkeling- it was wonderful and perfectly clear!!

both places have really good snorkeling, but on any given day conditions can be poor at the site you visit. This is a reason going on a guided trip might help as one hopes the guide will pick the best site available.

IMO Cayman has the better shore accessible snorkeling. There are to excellent places a short walk from the main tender landing in Cayman and they are discussed many times here .... search for EDEN ROCK and SUNSET HOUSE. Both of these are 'big boy pants' snorkeling however ans the water is too deep to even tempt standing up . . .
