HS Grad Group Suggestions for Progreso

We will have a group of about 20 HS Graduation kids and their families cruising with Carnival to Progreso this June. Is there a location like Mr. Sanchos in Progreso? Is it even possible to take this large of a group to a cenotes? Are there any private ocean boats that charter off Progreso for the kids and familes to enjoy snorkeling?

Progreso is not a good spot for snorkeling, the beach is a sandy beach. You can check with autoprogreso or shoreexcursioneer for Silcer Beach Club day pass, it might fit your needs. There is a natural reserve called "El Corchito", maybe a 20-25min ride from the port, a local friend took us there, it is beautiful! It has 3 cenotes that are amazing. I don't know if autoprogreso has any excursion, maybe you can contact them and they might arrange something for you... Hope this helps :)

Progreso is not really a "beach" destination.

Do the Uxmal ruins excursion or one of the other ruins. I highly recommend the Uxmal though, ... it is mindblowing!

I agree 100% that Progreso is not good for snorkeling. The El Corchito Nature preserve is a good choice and Autoprgreso does several different tours and we have used them a number of times.

I would recommend a Private shore excursion with the Cenote specialists .. YucatanCenote.com Eco-Aventuras. They have no age or group size restrictions and, as it is private, it is perfect for a grad class. I have gone on different excursions with them. Cenote only as well as a Pyramid/Cenote combo. Their tours includes a delicious meal, beverages and all admissions.
