ckv2249 Posted January 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2017 We are cruising on RCI Allure of the Seas in December, and we offered a tour on St. Thomas called "The Rumporium and More -Explore historic Kongens Quarter, sip up to 20 different types of rum, take advantage of fantastic duty-free shopping and enjoy a cruise along the harbor - all on one incredible tour." I can't find any reviews of this tour, and would really appreciate one if anyone has been on it.

kculater Posted February 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2017 I was wondering about this. I've never heard of it before and one of my friends saw it on RCCL website for excursions. She wants to go. I'm not sure. I was hoping to find comments or feedback on here but none so far. Ms411 Posted February 18, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2017 I think it's the bar at Hotel 1829 which is part of the Blackbeard's Castle.

Ms411 Posted May 6, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 6, 2017 Here's a review from TripAdvisor. “Very cool cultural place, with a Rumporium!” Mar 1, 2017 Mike T (104 reviews) St. Petersburg, Florida If you like old buildings, seeing how people used to live in the islands than this is the place for you. We started this tour at the top of the hill at Blackbeard's Castle and came down through all the other buildings, the 99 stairs, pirate statue gallery, and end up here. If you visit the Rumporium I hope you are able to get to talk to Bub, he is a mainlander who never left. He is super knowledgeable about rum and its history in the Caribbean. He will let you taste all the rums you want (if you buy the tasting package) and tell you very interesting details about each. He doesn't try to sell you anything but instead lets you enjoy your time and the rum.
