Long bay

Me and my wife want to go to long bay beach as we have heard it got decent snorkeling form shore. Has anyone been there recently was wondering how much the cost is to get there.

Private taxi is about US$30.00 each way including tip.

Long beach is good for shore snorkeling but it's not great. A much better experience in my opinion can be had at devil's Bridge. On the right side of devil's bridge is a large reef which shields a bay area really nice for snorkeling. reef is seen from you enter the water. Inside the reef is usually calm, but outside is a constant battle between the Atlantic Ocean and the edge of the reef. Even with this battle, the scenery is breathtaking. Every time we tour the outside of the reef we keep going and going and going, it's a bit mesmerizing. We use scooters to help with the currant when it's rough, but we usually enjoy the energy in the water.

If you prefer a calmer snorkel, then inside is suitable for you.

What is to be seen at Long beach is what is seen at the shore at Devil's Bridge.
