Lorryp Posted July 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2013 I'm travelling on the Island Cruise on the 13th August this year and wanted to know what plugs I need in the cabin.
FIFE1 Posted July 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2013 we were in 6066 and had one European and one american socket, know other cabins only had an american flat pin type. What we did was buy a 4 way extension adapter (small lead) from B&M @ £1.49 and left it on-board as we left. That way on the European adapter you can charge 4 items, take care if charging multi items on american adapter as it will take longer.Hope this helps? First cruise lady Posted July 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2013 Yeah, I was wondering about the sockets too. Will I be okay to charge my mobile phone, e-reader etc in the cabin? I'm in an inside cabin, so does that mean I'll only get an american socket? I don't know the number.
M & J Posted July 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2013 Hi, we were on in July. We could charge our phones no problem. Had to buy batteries for my camera as it wouldn't recharge them. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

Calomax Posted February 19, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 19, 2015 Are the American sockets two or three pins? I have a strip multi adaptor set up with a European pug on it from our last cruise on hyena Celebration but I want to take an American adaptor in case our cabin has only those sockets. Blasted predictive text!!! Of course it should be a plug and "the" Celebration. And I've tried to edit several times unsuccessfully.
M & J Posted February 20, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Hi, All the cabins we have used have been uk sockets. If you have many things to plug in, take a small exstenstion lead :-) Have a great time. M&J
Calomax Posted February 20, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Thank you. All the other posters on this thread say they are European or American, some only American, but they are a couple of years out of date so perhaps they have been changed. Were you on board recently? Calomax Posted February 21, 2015 #12 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Thank you. It looks like UK sockets were fitted as part of the makeover.
