Embarkation time?

Just trying to figure out plans for our upcoming 7 nights on PG and as a first timer wondered, what is the latest embarkation time? We plan to stay in Moorea at the Hilton pre cruise and would like to spend a reasonable amount of the afternoon (ferry crossing times taken into consideration) there before heading to Tahiti to board to PG. Can't see any information on our booking although I'm sure we will be informed nearer the time. I've heard the life boat drill is held during the afternoon so assuming we will need to be checked in by mid afternoon? Anyone able to help with this? Thank you. :)

Ferry's don't run very late and you don't want to chance taking the last one in case there are issues. We also stayed on Moorea Pre-crusie and took the 3pm Aremiti ferry back to Pappeete. It was just before 4 when we got to the Gauguin after collecting our bags. Check in is swift and painless. The short walk from the ferry terminal was harder.

Enjoy your cruise! :)
