Need help with the Port of Dili, East Timor?

My wife & I are booked on a P&O cruise in June 2015, starting at Singapore, then travelling down through ports such as Semerang, Bali, Komodo Island, Dili, East Timor, then across to Papua New Guinea, then finishing in Brisbane.

I've downloaded a lot of information, on every port, except I can't seem to find much on Dili, East Timor.

I am hoping someone on this board, may have visited Dili in the past, and can help me with the following questions:

1. Are there markets in the townships, shops, cafes?

2. Is there a 'nice' beach within walking distance of the town, that DW & I could have a swim?

3. Any other information regarding this port, would be most welcomed. The cruise ship is only in port for 1 day.

Disregard my posting - I have since spoken to a good friend who visited Dili, in East Timor, and has given me all the advice I was seeking.
