Church / Jolly Beach....are they the same beach?

We were at Jolly Beach years ago and loved it.

I see most people are now promoting Valley Church Beach and

I am wondering if they are the same?

Not the same. Have not been to either one but I'll bet they are both quite nice. The west side of Antigua is just beach-centric.

I'm trying to decide between these 2 beaches for our cruise next month. Originally our cruise group was planning to go to Darkwood, but we heard the beach is not as nice since the hurricane came through.

Now they are planning to go to Jolly Beach but I had thought Valley Church might be nicer. We have 3 kids ages,15, 12 & 7 and this our our only relaxing beach day of the cruise. Just want it to be clean, safe and my kids would like to swim with their snorkels to look for fish and stuff ;) Oh and restrooms too.

Not sure if I want to go with the group to Jolly or try VC on our own.
