ABCruiser Posted October 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2014 (edited) Any recommendations for a tour guide in Koashiung? We will be there in April 2015 on the Millennium and I have searched for a reputable guide to no avail. The ships tour did not look too appealing. What did everyone do when they were in Koashiung? Suggestions/recommendations are welcomed and appreciated. Edited October 3, 2014 by ABCruiser

We hired a taxi from the dock area for the day. There were 4 of us--the cost was about $50 each-the taxi driver had a list of recommended places and we had read about what we wanted to do. drpepr Posted October 28, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2014 We stopped there after our cruise was diverted due to the typhoon a few weeks ago. There doesnt seem to be too much to do and very few tour operators. We walked about 25 mins to the subway and bought a day pass. Took the subway and a bus and walked around Lotus pond. Then returned to the subway to visit supposedly Asia's largest mall and stopped along the way at a dome of lights subway station before returning to the cruiseship. Not really much going on at Kaohsiung for us. Maybe a private tour would have been more enjoyable.
