Hilton riverside to port

Anyone hoping to walk through the river walk to the cruise terminal beware!!! Only ncl and royal Caribbean have elevators to the ground floor of their terminal. Carnival must go out on the balcony and walk way down towards the ship only to find out there are 3 flights of steps to go down to the terminal. No way could we handle that with luggage. It's really sad the port doesn't have a way for carnival cruise passengers to get to the ground level. We had to turn around and go back to the river walk and exit through the food court. We had to get a taxi since it was raining and we had to pay $14.00 to go behind the convention center.

Many, many posts on here recommending that everyone take a cab. Too many issues with trying to walk unless yours is the only ship in that day. Even then, weather, walking in the traffic zones and the crush of passengers makes it iffy. A $9 cab ride fixes everything!
