we live in san diego, have driven to ensenada many times, and have cruised there once. we have great fishing in late summer (tuna). ensenada has tourist fishing boats, and you can always grab a ponga. but, as we saw in ensenada harbor from the deck of the serenade of the seas in 2006 in the pic below, mexican boating may be risky. check the local fishing reports here

Is it possible to go deep sea fishing in Ensenada. There is no excursion offered by the cruise line that I see. I also did not see an Ensenada board so I posted here.

Hi, Carnival has an excursion for Deep Sea fishing. I'm taking it in February. I've fished Ensenada before--but I usually charter my own boat. I'm going with the cruise line this time because we almost missed the sail last time.

It's not a great time of year to fish Ensenada in January-February--but come April-May you can get some great Tuna! Most boats will bottom fish in the winter for you--which is fun for kids and people who just like to catch and release.

Good luck! Fish on!
