Water color on different sides

I've read most threads, but am curious....Is the water prettier, more color, etc....on west end (Tabyana area) compared to the south (Fins n flippers or fantasy isl)

Share your insights please....

I've never thought there was any real difference, at least not that you could plan for. The water & its' clarity are mostly the same, unless there are storms in play (if a heavy storm comes in from the north, it might churn things up on that side of the island while the other side's visibility isn't affected as much since the island serves as a buffer from the wave action).

My experiences on Roatan are more as a scuba diver than as a snorkeler, but I've done a good bit of both. There are a comparable number of great dive sites on either side.

From an aerial shot, you'll see color changes - but these are due to changes in the ocean floor (depth, sandy bottom/coral reef, etc) and not due to clarity/purity of the water.
