Progreso tips/things to do?

Recommended Posts

You might try checking out the different tours that Autoprogreso offers. You will see them when you get off the ship. We did a tour to salt flats and a small local mayan ruin a few years ago. The cost at that time was about $15. Well worth it.

Autoprogreso has several different tours you can take. Look on their website for more info. We have taken tours with them at least 7 times and never had any problems. We don't make reservations but usually email and let them know which tour and how many people. They have a store in the Progreso pier on your left as you walk thru. Stop in there, pay for your tour and get your wrist bands. Paying with cash is best. Once you get into Progreso (on a free AP bus) and you are waiting for your tour, the double decker bus is a fun way to pass the time.
