Is the fish market open during the day? I've read alot about the Friday Night Fish Fry. Is there anything to see during the week day?

Yes. The market is open for business during the day.

It is in the evening that he fish fry/party occurs but during the day it is utilised for its intended.....a fish market.

Are they selling fish or just crafts? Do you recommend any eateries there? Thanks for the info - I was hoping it would be open while we are in port.

Many of the food stalls are open all the time...you can go to the fishmarket which is just next door or just go to where the food places are and get lunch or an early dinner.....I don't think I remember much in the way of crafts...just good inexpensive food...At night, especially fridays, there are big crowds and music....we prefer the less crowded nights/days.

There are no arts and craft on sale there.

There are a few stalls selling food during the day...to be honest with you I never go there during the day (although I pass it on my way to work most mornings) so I could not recommend any place in particular BUT I can tell you the food is usually quite good.:)

Thanks again for the info! I wish that I was there on a Friday night. I will have to settle for a Monday afternoon.
