I'm looking at this excursion instead of doing the train/bus/shuttle to Yukon. Has anyone done it thru Celebrity?? Thoughts if you have??

Description below -

Get a taste of the Alaskan wilderness on this epic quest which brings you face-to-face with a magnificent glacier. Your adventure begins aboard a custom-crafted vessel that will take you to Glacier Point. Explore the rugged beauty of Alaska's deepest fjord and the snow-capped mountains before you. Then, paddle a 31-foot voyager canoe to the face of the Davidson Glacier, a stunning blue ice masterpiece. Watch for whales, porpoises and other wildlife along the way.

Thanks in advanced for any info!

This was one of our favorite excursions! If you have the opportunity to do it, I wouldn't miss it. They provide you with boots and coats as well as bug spray! :) We didn't see hardly any wildlife, but the scenic views and the ice in the river was amazing. The paddling part is miniscule....they mainly direct the boat with a small motor. We were able to go right up to the face of the glacier and walk around on the glacial silt delta. Each day, and sometimes each trip, is different. We even saw a humpback whale on the boat ride to the location. Sandwich, chips and water after (or before) your trip. The thing that made this an amazing trip, other than the location, were the guides! Great sense of humor, a genuine love of what they are doing and the ability to impart a significant amount of information about the glaciers and the area without being boring.

Thanks good to know! Looks very cool! Just didn't know if this would be better or if going into Yukon would be better but it sounds like you had an awesome time.
