dmarch@islc.net Posted April 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2005 Is there a local tour company that does dolphin encounters? They have one with the ship but I'm afraid doing it with 40 other people at the same time might take away from the experience. Thanks, David

Thanks, David Are you sure it’s a dolphin encounter and not a Hawksbill/Leatherneck turtle encounter? Dolphins and whales are rare sights in Barbados. That is not to say that some enterprising sole has not established an area that one can intermix with them, but I am unaware of one. I would speculate that you would have a greater chance of seeing dolphins from the ship than in the waters surrounding Barbados. Perhaps another islander has some additional facts for us. dmarch@islc.net Posted April 5, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted April 5, 2005 OOPS...your so right! Got my islands mixed up. How about a good private tour guide for the turtles? Any suggestions? Thanks
barbados Posted April 5, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2005 “How about a good private tour guide for the turtles? Any suggestions?” Why don’t you try the Silver Moon II (thread directly below this one). With less than a dozen folks onboard, it’s “almost” a private tour and they consistently produce an unforgettable experience. My best wishes for a wonderful time on the island! :)
