Krazy Kruizers Posted August 1, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2004 :) We are thinking about staying over in Vancouver at the end of our cruise next spring. We have been to Vancouver many times before cruises. We have never flown in or out of Vancouver airport. How far is the Vancouver Airport from down town? We are looking at staying at the Fairmont or the Pan Pacific. How much traveling time should we allow? We are looking at an 8:55 AM flight home (not much choice in flights). Thanks :)
ell52 Posted August 1, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2004 Assuming you want to be at the airport 2 1/2 to 3 hrs before flight-time; a taxi or limo should take about 20 minutes to get to YVR at that time of morning. Even if it's a weekday, you should beat most of the rush hour and be going against the main flow of rush hour traffic in any case. Ell

dam1050 Posted August 10, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2004 Vancouver Airport (YVR) is located on Sea Island which is about 11 miles from downtown and should take roughly 30 - 40 mins to drive depending on traffic volumes. You'd probably want to be at the airport about 6:30 am to 7:00 am for your flight home, therefore leaving the Pan Pacific around 6:00 am should be fine. You will pre-clear U.S. customs here in Vancouver before your flight home as well. Dave
