Disabled Embarkation

Hello everyone. First post here and appreciate any input. Thanks in advance.

Flying in early and will likely be at port early(8-9AM). A member of our party is disabled and will require wheel chair assistance onto the ship. What is the boarding order for Port of Miami in regards to disabled? Whatever number you get when you get there?

Thanks again.

Make sure that you advise NCL Special Needs that you will require assistance this way they will have you registered. I use it all the time works great. I have found that the staff go beyond t help a disabled passenger. Enjoy your cruise

Thanks for the advice so far. We already advised them in regards to wheel chair. Does anyone know the boarding order for the Escape in the Port of Miami in regards to disabled and their families?

Here's the special needs email - accessdesk@ncl.com . Please contact them and they will be able to help you. My family doesn't have a disability, but we do travel with small children and most cruise lines (including NCL) let our entire party skip the lines at embarkation. In some cases, we are sent to the same accessible areas as designed for passengers with disabilities and in others there are special family lines. It really seems like the cruise lines do a great job helping people who need assistance so I'm sure your family member will be very welcome. But please email them since there might be other places you need help (such as priority disembarkation if there is a tender anywhere).

After going through security either notify the person directing traffic that you need wheelchair assist, or walk to furthest left check-in line which has Special Needs sign and check in wth the Assist person in that area. since you've notified Special Needs your name will be on a wheelchair list. When boarding opens the wheel chair escorts will push you aboard ship either right after the suites or at the same time. With wheel chair escort we have always been among the first to board.

I really appreciate this information. I'm in the process of planning a trip with Mom who will need wheelchair assist for embarking and disembarking. Thanks!!

Those with wheelchair assistance are given check-in and boarding priority.
