Christmas Day 2015 in Funchal Madeira -- what's open?

Would appreciate any info/advice on what to do in Funchal/Madeira on Christmas Day. My impression is that many (most?) things are closed or not operating. Items of interest would be:

Restaurants

Car Rental

Island Tours

Hop On Bus

Taxis

Wine Lodge Tours, esp Blandy's

We spent Christmas in Funchal a few years ago. The shops in town were closed for 3-4 days, from Xmas Eve to at least 27th.

Some Restaurants will be open.

Taxis will be working and they will do tours.

Blandys will probably be closed.
