Farmer Randy Posted February 11, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2013 Just returned from Carnival freedom stop in Ocho. Booked Courtney Taylor a week before leaving. OMG best part of trip!! Not one bad thing can I say. Consider going up mountin to the cliff diving spots, its the same as duns river only ur the only ones there and much more beutiful! We did not wait one min. after getting off ship. Couryney stayed with us when ever we needed him to. I would be happy to respond to any more questions. I had a day i wiil remember forever!! We were going through tunnels under waterfalls, how cool I could go on and on!!

Farmer Randy Posted February 11, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2013 YES I DID!! My 16 yr old son and I did. We climbed up trail along river then did several jumps down, some only 6 feet to 20 feet or so. Also rope swings. Breathtaking view and water. Can you tell I had a great day with Courtny!! Courtny stayed with my Wife while we were off. My wife was not happy about me booking a private tour, as she felt unsafe the last time in Oco even in port area. She also had a wonderful day with Courtney, and was happy w me Happy wife is a happy life!! Thanks Courtney
mdxter Posted February 24, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 24, 2013 Courtney picked us up from Montego Bay about 1 1/2 hour away from the blue hole. We had our 7 and 5 year old girls with us and never once did I felt unsafe. The locals at the blue were just as nice and wonderful. I did Both of the dives and the guides carried my girls to the top. Then we did the tubing! Courtney was the bomb!

xrayvin Posted March 6, 2013 #8 Share Posted March 6, 2013 I am wondering about the cliff diving? You mention waterfalls and tunnels, is that the same area? Where was this? We are considering doing a tour with Coutney Taylor, ziplins, tubing and Dunns River. But maybe we can switch it for something better! Not really wanting to jump off cliffs...I just want waterfalls! We did Mayfield Falls in MoBay a few years ago and THAT was AMAZING!!!

RUDIMAY1 Posted March 9, 2013 Author #10 Share Posted March 9, 2013 Isn't the cliff diving on the west side of the island? Near ricks cafe and Negril beach?
xrayvin Posted March 10, 2013 #11 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Waterfalls and tunnels!! That's what I want. I really don't want cliff diving, just wondered if they did this at same place. We will be doing the tubing and zip line close to Dunns River, just not sure I want the crowds of DR.

RUDIMAY1 Posted April 1, 2013 Author #15 Share Posted April 1, 2013 This post is an error as it should have been on the port of Ocho Rios Thanks for trying to be helpful but we are being picked up in Falmouth not Ocho Rios. So in the Falmouth section it should stay.

quercus alba Posted April 15, 2013 #17 Share Posted April 15, 2013 We booked Courtney from Ocho Rios March 27. I would absolutely, TOTALLY book him again. For DRF with Courtney, the $20 just gets you into the park. He then hands you off to an escort through the admission gate. After that, if you want to hire one of the guides on the falls, that is extra, but our family just climbed up on our own. As always, beware of the vendors--they're aggressive. There were 6 of us total. We went tubing after that for $25/each, then to the Irie Blue Hole for cliff jumping & the waterfall @ $15 per adult and $10 per kid (plus tipping guides there--who really took awesomely good care of my kids during the jumping). It was a complete highlight for all four of my kids, and for my wife. I had fallen earlier in the day at DRF and was nursing a bad shoulder, so I just watched. Courtney took care of paying all the fees and settled up at the end. He charged $35/Adult and $30/kid for the transportation. I bought him lunch at Scotchies and tipped a bit more at the end of the trip. "The "sight seeing in the mountains" was mostly driving to the Blue Hole--but it's his home, and he pointed out lots of things, talked about the Rastafarians and Bob Marley, etc. Courtney is a straight-forward, honest, and very pleasant guy. I'd book him again in a heartbeat.

RUDIMAY1 Posted May 19, 2013 Author #24 Share Posted May 19, 2013 We took a private tour hoping to beat all of the cruise ship tours but because of a cruise ship ocean rescue everyone was running late. So Dunns Falls was more crowded than we wanted. It was still fun though. Courtney it a good guy and all our stuff stayed safe in the van. Scotchies was good as always. It is a little rustic presentation with food wrapped up in foil. Pumpkin soup was so good. The band was fun. Shopping was so-so. Stores were open but it seemed we were the only ones in town. Didn't really have time to go to the beach.
