RC's Ultimate Island Tour

Has anyone dip one this excursion which says Explorer Cruise and Island Tour? Our question is do you ride in a van/bus or do you go over to Marigot and back on the double decker boat?

We did this tour An Ultimate Island Tour: Explorer Cruise and Island Tour - SMD2 on the Explorer last year. We've been to St Maarten many times and do Bernards Tour a lot but wanted something different this time.

You first board a bus and tour the island for about an 45 mins., making a few photo stops along the way to Marigot, very similar to Bernards Tour.

We then stop in Marigot for about 30-40 mins. then we board a double decker boat called "The Explorer" and cruised for close to 2 hours. Music and drinks were provided and one of the crew members sang a few songs, he was good. There is plenty of sun and plenty of shade on "The Explorer". I don't recall where the boat dropped us off after our cruise, whether it was back to Marigot or somewhere closer to the ship. Then bus back to pier.

We enjoyed the leisurely cruise more than the sightseeing tour since we've seen the island many times. IMO, this is a good tour for a first timer to St Maarten.
