b7440 Posted November 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2016 Will be @ Labadee in a few weeks, we have been before and rented a cabana. Well the price has gone up. I use a scooter to get around, but I can walk a little with a cane. We loved the handicapped cabana, but has anyone with similar problems, just gone and use a regular chaise lounge, or would I be better off with the cabana? The mobility scooter will not be able to be driven in the sand and it you attemt it the sand can damage the motor . Therefore unless you're able to get a chase that is directly off of a paved or hard packed pathway it's going to be difficult. Most of the chaises fairly accessible by a scooter are not directly on the beach side. Another option would be once on the island transfer to a beach wheelchair and staff will than take you directly to a chaise of your choosing. You'll than have to request that staff return at a certain time as the beach wheelchair will not be left with you. Also remember to have your scooter marked with your name, ship and cabin number as well as remove the key if you leave it at the beach wheelchair station.
