Sonobride Posted July 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2016 6 of us will be on the OASIS in a couple of weeks, and we want to hit a beach in St. Kitts, but the reviews that I have read are all over the place. We want a clean beach, clear blue water, clean restrooms and chair/umbrella rental or availability. Many recommend Cockleshell, but I hear its a really far, motion sickening ride. I'd gratefully appreciate any reviews. thank you!
paul58 Posted July 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2016 Cockleshell Beach is the farthest from the cruise port. The cost of the taxi will be about $ 42 each way for the 6 of you sharing a taxi/van. South Friar's Beach is closer. That taxi fare for 6 people sharing the taxi/van would be about $ 24 each way. South Friar's has a number of places to eat/drink and enjoy the beach. You will find decent restrooms at Carambola Beach Club & Shipwreck Beach Bar. The beaches are all free & open to the public. You may have to rent a chair/umbrella. They are free at some places if eating.
