tropicaldreamer Posted March 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2014 I am planning to fly into the Ft. Lauderdale airport the day before my cruise. Our cruise is leaving from the Port of Miami. Is it better to stay in Ft. Lauderdale or Miami? I'm noticing the hotels in Miami are expensive however, I like the idea of being close to the port. Any advice or suggestions on hotels at either location?
Alliezona09 Posted March 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2014 I'm in the same boat~ I think staying in FL would be better and cheaper~ I found this site which has a list of FLL hotels that this shuttle company will pick you up from and take you to POM for $15 pp~ http://www.qualitylimoservice.com/default.aspx?pageid=

JohninDC Posted March 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2014 It is mostly a personal decision -- as you have noticed comparable hotels are generally cheaper in the FLL area. If your flight into FLL arrives later in the day your transportation options to Miami will be fewer and more expensive. :( 1000's choose to stay in the FLL area and then shuttle/limo/cab/rental car their way to POM. Your call. :)
