Plantation Recommendations

Will be in Plantation, FL for 3 days pre-cruise vacation and 1 night post-cruise vacation in December. Any suggestions for restaurants? activities? tours? adventures?

Post though we are staying south down near Homestead and doing a bit of site seeing down that way

We are staying at the Holiday Inn - Plantation. We will have a rental.

What site seeing activities have you found? Suggestions for restaurants? If it's within an hour's drive of hotel, I'm willing!

I forgot what things I for sure want to do....my travel plans are out back in the RV. I will go get them tomorrow. But I do know that I am thinking the day we get back after getting our rental car I think we will go to Aquarium http://www.miamiseaquarium.com/

Activities -The Saw Grass Mills outlet mall (largest of its kind in SoFla) is 15 minutes west of Plantation, Everglades airboat tours 20 minutes. Plenty of nearby shops and restaurants. Great central location to head in any direction from...the beaches are 15 minutes to the east. The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is 15 minutes to the south and Butterfly World is 15 minutes to the north. The Miami SeaAqurium is ok...the Miami Metro Zoo is a lot nicer though.

Restaurants in Plantation, too many to list, can you narrow it down to the type of food you like? My fave in Plantation is an upscale Mexican restaurant called Cantina Laredo. They make the best guacamole at your tableside...

My favorite is Hollywood Beach, where Sheridan Street meets the ocean is a great place to park the car.

Tershall....where in WI are you? I have a friend from when my hubby was in the army that lives in Woodruff

Currently in Marshfield but I am from South Milwaukee and husband from Wauwatosa (both suburbs of Milwaukee). Woodruff is approx 2 hours (110 miles) due North of us.
