Bird Watching

Does anyone have info on bird watching on the island. Maybe a tour company or two that offer something.

First Costa Maya is NOT an island. It's on the mainland. That said, the port is about 30 minutes south of the Sian Ka'an nature reserve, filled with all kinds of local birds. I know there are tours originating out of Riviera Maya and Maya Beach Gardens recommends the area for its guests. But I think the organized tours go to the northern section of the reserve as it's closer to Riviera Maya and Playa Del Carmen. Not sure if Maya Beach Gardens organizes tours there, but if you contact them, they might be able to provide a local guide contact.
