haylau Posted March 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2017 Hi All Due to go to the Bahamas on Discovery in April. I just wondered if anyone could help with some advice 1) I am getting conflicting info about currency. Don't need much, but would US dollars or local currency better? Can you get it onboard or is it better to get before goig? 2) Am i correct in thinking as UK nationals born and bred we do not need visas? 3) Am i correct in thinking we do not need any jabs? (we are not high risk and have only ever been to Europe) 4) On board wifi? Is it expensive. I will have a lot of work to do while onboard
jake 26 Posted March 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2017 1) US$ widely accepted. Far better to get it before you go. 2) No visas required for UK nationals, 3) No special requirements for jabs. 4) WiFi on board is slow and pricey.

haylau Posted March 22, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted March 22, 2017 why go on a cruise if your going to be busy on your laptop..may as well stay at home Nope, holiday 23 hours a day, work 1 hour a day. A good balance for me! Because of the complexity of emails I receive I can't do a simple auto responder. So check a few times a day and send them on or deal with them. Malch_uk Posted March 22, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 22, 2017 Follow the crew to find best free WiFi near port. They use it all the time to keep in touch with family.
