Kayaking Ketchikan in Sept.

I am interested in the kayaking with Southeast and we are now going in Sept. rather than Aug. just wondering if anyone has done this in Sept. I really would like to do this but if it's freezing cold, it wouldn't be the same. I realize it is probably a hit or miss, but just curious. Thanks.:)

While I usually suggest booking ahead, kayaking is September is one of the exceptions. The weather is hugely variable - if it's nice you'll probably have no trouble getting a spot, but if the weather is cold and rainy (which is quite likely), you might want to plan something else.
