Independent tours in Manaus, Brazil

Any recommendations for tour operators or tours for a stay in Manaus 10 am one day to 4 pm the next? Not interested in an overnight tour.

Are you on a cruise ship? If you are find the roll call for your ship & date and there are normally people organizing tours or go to the shore excursion site for your cruise line and you'll find shore excursions there.

I've been on my roll call but it is not very active. I've been following the Thorntree forum and it sounds like the independent tour situation there is a bit tricky to navigate. Just wondered if anyone had any experiences and/or ideas to share.
