jonjo69 Posted August 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Hi, I'll be cruising to the Caribbean this December from Southamption. This will be visiting Antigua, BVI, St. Maarten, St. Lucia and Barbados. As this is North to South with the ports mostly Leeward, I took it that a cabin on the Portside would be the best. However, I'm now questioning my logic. Has anyone got some real life experience of which side was best. Cheers, Jonjo
cb at sea Posted August 14, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2014 There is no "logic"...the captain will try and switch it up at each port, so everyone has a chance at facing the dock. I find facing AWAY from the dock to be more private. You will have views everywhere....you're in a harbor, so there's stuff to see all around you. bbt7244 Posted August 14, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 14, 2014 Always port - 20+ cruises, always go port! You don't know which side you will tie up on but always love being port seeing us come in to whatever port....
jonjo69 Posted August 14, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted August 14, 2014 Thanks guys! It sounds like I haven't made a huge mistake and will leave my portside cabin as is. Cheers, Jonjo
