grandsix Posted June 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2006 Has any one done the Afternoon Red Light Delight in Skagway? How was it and would it be out of line for a 16 year old?
azjanes Posted June 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2006 We did it last year. The bus pulls up by the back door, you go upstairs after a short talk with one of the "girls". There's a bunch of very small rooms they take you through. They have a small dessert type treat, and something to drink, can't remember what. And then you go down the front stairs. It would be okay for a 16 year old, but there might be something more interesting in Skagway. We did the White Pass train in the morning and then this tour in the afternoon. We have rode the train several times, always a good time. The first time to Skagway we went to the cemetary and heard about Soapy Smith? that was hokey (sp?) but fun. Budget Queen Posted June 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2006 You can just walk up for this tour and take one for $5. It is acceptable for teens. Located at Broadway and Second. On the tour, take a look at the beautiful folk art by Peter Lucchetti. He is a former Park Ranger who also had some 100 anniversary art for the postal service. Now he works for the Streetcar company. Consider getting across the street to the Park Service Visitor Center. http://www.nps.gov/klgo/schedule.htm
