Celebrity Mercury to Alaska 7/14/06

The schedule from Celebrity Cruises shows Mercury will dock at Juneau on Sunday 7/16 at 3pm...but the iternary I received from the travel agent shows the arrival time at 1pm.

I connected Mendenhall Glacier Transport and they also shows arrival at 1pm.

Did Celebrity make a mistake here or is this the new arrival time for summer months?

Also, Capt. Larry's last whale watch tour is from 6pm till 9:30pm. Is the sun still out in Juneau at this hour? Sorry..never been to Alaska :)

I would verify this directly with Celebrity.

Yes you will have plenty of daylight at 9:30pm in your timeframe.

We are on the Mercury on June 30. I noticed the same thing on the Celebrity website. I spoke to Celebrity and there was a change in Juneau arrival to 3:00pm. There also was no explanation for the change. There was also a change in the Canadian port to Naniamo- for three hours 8:30-11:30 pm

Yes... I also called Celebrity to double check and was told the same for the July 14th sailing. This kinda screws up my excursion schedule for my parents :(

I just got off Mercury. The reason for the change appears to be because Junueau forced them to change, not Mercury wanting the change.
