Verizon service in St. Croix

I have Verizon cell service. Does it work normally in St. Croix since it is the U.S. or is it like being overseas?

Well you're not going to pay international charges but you will probably be roaming as there's not a single Verizon tower on the island. Should be able to connect to the Sprint towers though. I'd check with Verizon about your roaming fees.

I have Verizon as well and was on island last Summer. Although your phone will swear it's roaming, there will be no additional charges either for talk or data. We confirmed this with Verizon before we went and did not receive a surprise bill afterward. Not the strongest signal, but it worked in most places.
