DanaJW Posted April 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2011 I have a few questions about this hike: 1. Are the trails very narrow? 2. Are there a lot of drop offs? 3. How would you rate the grade of this hike? Easy, moderate, or difficult? Thank you in advance for your help.

You may want to post this on the Italy board, and you can do search there as well as people have posted some info.

ddpe Posted April 13, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 13, 2011 I did this hike with my husband and teenage sons. Basically, you take a service from the Circumvesuvia station at Herculeneum to the base of the trail. There is a company right at the left of the train station. They run a shuttle bus up to the trail head. The trail is wide, no drop offs, gravel paved. A lot of people and not very difficult. Yes, it is up hill all the way, but not difficult.
