SissasMomE Posted April 25, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2008 Can someone tell me where the Enchantment docks, and if it's within walking distance of anything I can do with an 11-year old? Thank you!
Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted April 26, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2008 It usually docks right in front of the Westin Hotel. That site is within easy walking distance of many of Key West's main attractions and Duval Street. I say "easy", but if someone has walking challenges, it could be difficult for them.It would be too hard for my 89 year old mother, for example. Other than for those who may need wheel chairs or those who use walkers or canes, you couldn't ask for a better docking location, plus it offers a lovely view of Key West from its upper decks. Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted April 26, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2008 Whoops! I just caught the part of your question about an eleven-year old. OK. Here are some ideas. The Key West Aguarium is right by the dock. The Key West Ship Wreck Historeum. The Pirate Soul Museum. Mel Fisher Treasure Museum (Artifatcs from the ship wreck of La Atocha) It is South Florida's most visited museum.) Go to Schooner Wharf and see the tall ships. Take a glass-bottomed boat to see the reefs. Take a harbour cruise on a tall ship. Ripley's Believe It or not (not my cup of tea, but some folks really enjoy it.) Is your eleven year old a boy or girl? I could make better suggestions if I knew?
SissasMomE Posted May 4, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted May 4, 2008 She's a girl. I think we're going to do the conch train and the aquarium. We can get the train right off the dock?
