Cruisedreamer1 Posted March 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2014 We will be in Ensenada, Mexico and want to buy Mexican wine produced in the Guadalupe Valley without going to the wineries. Can anyone recommend a liquor store we can take a taxi to or walk from the port? We don't want convenience store places. Thanks.
Rosefloater Posted March 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2014 There are some liquor stores on Av. Lopez Mateos. Most sell tequila and other hard liquor, but there are some that do have wine. There are 2 markets on Gastellum that carry wine. It is an easy 5 minute walk to Av. Lopez Mateos. From the port, turn right at the street and go over the bridge. At the 1st light, cross the main street and walk one block. Turn left and you are on Av. Lopez Mateos.
SadieN Posted March 22, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2014 Adding on--- Soriana is half a block up from Ave Lopez. Calimax is on the next block up. Both carry La Cetto which is one of the wineries on the tour.

After you make the left turn, on the right hand (ocean, west) side is a building that is set back from the street, behind a small patio, Next to a handmade goods store. Didn't check to see if it was there my last time in town.

We are hoping to visit a new location called Ojos Negros Wine Bar & Cafe on Ave. Ruiz in October on the Crown Princess. Wines for sale as well as wine tastings from their vineyards.......it's next to Hussongs (we'll be there also):D......some friends found this place on their previous visit and recommended it.
