Why is Balmoral delayed today 6th May

My parents are on this cruise and they have just phoned ( at 7.45pm) to say that they are still docked at Southampton. They seem to think that the ship has hit either a tender or the quay side due to the surge of water on departing.

Dad says they are awaiting a tug to help them out.

Now my parents are lovely people but not too hot on current events and so their version of the delay may quite possibly be completely wrong!

Can anyone confirm what has happened or shed a bit more light on it for me please? Thanks :)

She tried to leave 101 berth without tug assistance, was caught by the wind and her stern quarter hit the quay. A tug was summoned and she was put back on the berth. After inspection, eventually left four hours late at 21.00.
