ilion Posted May 31, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2006 We are flying into Vancouver on 8/10 and are having a bit of trouble finding a reasonable hotel rate. It seems the rates in Victoria are a little cheaper, and I wonder if that might be a viable option as we arrive two days before our ship sails. Can anyone suggest whether this might be a good way to go, or is Vancouver too much of a can't miss city to worry about the cost of the room? Budget Queen Posted May 31, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2006 Victoria is an excellent city to tour, but you have significant added costs with transportation which would most likely end up being more costly than Vancouver. (I always take a car over, just makes the trip much much more flexable). Determine what you wish to do and go with that area. Priceline in the past has been a good option for Vancouver lodging. The Days Inn in Vancouver although is a basic property is an excellent location.
