Do the resorts on Catalina charge?

Recommended Posts

To my knowledge, there is only one "Beach Resort" on Catalina, but it doesn't have a pool.

The hotels & resorts that would have a spa or pool aren't on the beach, and I don't believe they would let you just use the pool unless you paid for maybe a "spa day".

You need to do a little more research on Catalina Island.

It sounds like you expect Catalina to be something like a Caribbean or Hawaiian Island - and it just isn't. There isn't much of a beach, have never seen a cabana on the island, and it's mostly just a very small village surrounded by mostly unpopulated hills/mountains. Rent a golf cart and just explore for a few hours, have a nice lunch, or take one of the inland tours up through the mountains.
