Astor Crowne Plaza

Has any one stayed there recently? I just booked it and thought the reviews looked good, most recent ones were complaints about air conditioning not working but since we wont be there until December it should be fine. But after I booked it I went through alot of pictures of it online and it doesn't look great in alot of them. So now I'm worried. The location is exactly where I'd like to be since we will only really have 24 hours in New Orleans before our cruise but not sure I'm willing to pay close to $200 for a gross room even if we wont be in it much.

We have always been happy there, I booked there this afternoon for APril 11, 2015.
