sprite Posted October 17, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2007 Can any of you fellow Marylanders recommend a cool place to watch the cruise ships leaving B-more? Thanks!
mdmomof7 Posted October 17, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2007 Hi there, we're from 15 mins. south of the Inner Harbor in Ho. Co. I'm not sure that there are ships, there's a ship, the Grandeur, but it must have changed it's schedule for the fall. We go through the tunnel on the weekends for baseball and we haven't seen it there on Sundays. It must be going out Friday or Saturday now. I heard that Carnival is supposed to be placing a Conquest class ship here in 2009! If it's a less expensive cruise than departing from FL incl. RT air, we'd consider it. If it's not, I like the variety of FL departure itineraries. We'll see. I'm not sure how the ships sail out. If they go out by the Key Bridge, then I'd google a map and look for a park. If by Ft. McHenry, that would terrific! Since you could picnic, play frisbee, catch, rollerblade, etc. I'll watch this thread to find out myself! :)

Tinkerbellcgy Posted November 4, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 4, 2007 I'm leaving on the last Grandeur sailing out of Baltimore for the season on November 25th at 4:00 p.m. It's a repo cruise and will sail out of Tampa for the winter.

DaytonGirl Posted November 4, 2007 #6 Share Posted November 4, 2007 My vote would be for Sandy Point State Park at the base of the Bay Bridge. It's an easy ride from Laurel. :)
