techchick Posted July 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2007 Hello, I am looking for info on the Formal Nights on the MSC Orchestra. I have done many Resorts but this is my first cruise so I not sure what to expect. I am not really a fan of formal wear so I am trying to determine what I need to bring to get by without having to go out and buy a dress I may never wear again. Also want to keep luggage to a minimum. I am sure the range of wear varies but any info would be very appreciated! Thanks! :D
msbptg Posted July 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2007 If your NOT a fan of formal wear, don,t worry..not too many people will stare at you and ask themselfs what is she wearing..NO, No just kidding...Are there people who come to formal nites not dressed?? Of course there are.. My wife and I personally think that this sort of dining is an event not to be missed..So we dress to impress..
grandsix Posted August 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2007 As previously stated on another thread. As paying GUESTS, we prefer to follow the suggested dress code of the cruise line.
Steve007NY Posted August 11, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2007 Wear, within reason, what you're comfortable with. We've sailed MSC before in the Caribbean, and are leaving on the Orchestra out of Venice on Aug. 25. A jacket and tie, cocktail dress work fine. NO ONE (well, maybe 1/10 of 1%) were wearing tuxedos, and maybe 20% of the men weren't wearing jackets.
saamk67 Posted August 12, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 12, 2007 Hi Tech - read board posted by handhandB - I asked her same question and she said that dress cose is very flexible. I will be on 9/8 cruise out of Venice - when are you sailing? Susan
