SanNic44 Posted June 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2008 I see that the World is going to be in Oranjestaad, Aruba on 5 December. Is it possible to visit the ship while it is in port. I'd like to take a first hand look instead of reviewing all the glossy paper. If anyone has done this, let me know. Of course, I will contact the management company, but I'd like to hear what others say first. Thanks!
snc421 Posted June 22, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2008 There was recently a show featuring The World on the Travel Channel. I think they said for security reasons you cannot board the ship anymore as a visitor. (There's too many places for a stowaway to hide.) I know on my recent cruise I had to show my ship's keycard and my picture ID to even enter the port area!

cruiserbryce Posted May 26, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 26, 2009 I just spoke with the Sales office for ResidenSea and they did say that there are some ports where they can set up "sales" tours. Unsure how sneaky you would like to be at that point...
