West End Village

It is a village on the west end of Roatan.

It was a sleepy area of restaurants, bars, some shops/galleries mixed in with some small motel like resorts. Recently they have begun paving the main street (runs along the waterfront) and putting in gutters and sidewalks. While this will improve the drivability of the area, it really detracts from the "village" vibe it had when we first began visiting here.

But Roatan overall is in a building boom since it hit the radar of the tourists in a big way.
