My husband and I booked the evening pass at Occidental for a day in October. Was this a good choice? Do you know if the food there is good? Also, will it be really crowded that time of the year. We are there from 1:00 to 10:00 P.M.

October is not high season and kids are back in school so should not be too bad. For the food, I haven't eaten there is years, but I would suggest looking at the reviews on CC's sister website tripadvisor.com

We spend the month of October in Aruba, annually, and I'm here to tell you that you are going to LOVE the Occidental.

The Pool is beyond gorgeous, the beach is perfection and never crowded (even in high season) and the restaurants are very high quality for an all inclusive.

Enjoy your evening!

Occidental Grand Aruba

What You Get for Your Money: Passes, which are $76 for adults and about $38 for children, offer access to all amenities, meals, snack and drinks, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The price does not, however, include use of a room.

How to Get There: Occidental Grand Aruba is a 15-minute taxi ride from port.

For More Info: Visit Occidental's Web site or call 800-858-2258.

I own the time share at Occidental.

I do not think the fee includes any of the restaurants-- only the buffet area.

and it is over by 6pm. when you have to leave.

So you will only be using it from 1pm til 6pm.

Sunsets on Aruba are amazing. We have been to a few islands and nothing was spectacular as Aruba.

Consider a sunset sail with Black pearl which gets you back by 7:00

Do you know if there is any food available after 6:00 P.M.? Our ship docks at 1:00 so that is why we had to choose the afternoon pass.

you would need to call the resort-- but would bet its the buffet. (stuff changes at the resort all the time) People who stay there grumble all the time about restaurant availabilty.

Restaurants are very small and hold only a limited amount of people.

Example is the Zen place holds 16 people an hour.

Plus in all the eatery there is a dress code and no shorts are allowed- which is enforced by the hostess.

DIning places open at 6pm
